Info about letters of recommendation

Professor Stein is prepared to provide personalized letters of recommendation for stays abroad or scholarship applications, if one of the following requirements is met:

  • You have passed one of the exams "Nonlinear Optimization I & II," "Global Optimization I & II," "Mixed-Integer Optimization I," "Mixed-Integer Optimization II," "Multicriteria Optimization," or "Convex Analysis" with at least grade 2.0
    or
  • You are or have been a student assistant at the chair
    or
  • You have completed a seminar at the chair with at least grade 2.0.

If none of the above requirements are met, no personalized letter of recommendation can be issued.

A simple letter of recommendation can be provided if you have attended "Introduction to Operations Research I and II" with Professor Stein. This letter will then only include the relation of your exam grade to the overall grade distribution.
